Radios for lone worker safety
How to improve lone worker security?
Employers' safety responsabilities
As an employer you are responsible for ensuring the security of your workers. You have to take "the necessary measures to ensure the safety and protect the physical and mental health of workers” (article L. 4121-1 of the French Labour Code).
In the event of an accident, isolation of your workers remains a factor that intensify the damage, which is still too underestimated in terms of prevention. The protection of a single worker includes all prevention/intervention measures and procedures designed to meet this obligation.
How does lone worker safety device work ?
The lone worker alert device (DATI) transmits an alarm corresponding to a situation of a lone worker considered critical to a person or structure responsible for triggering.
Sensors integrated in the lone worker safety device can automatically detect a fall, a loss of verticality, a lack of movement or an unusual prolonged position... Also, the lone worker can trigger an alert by pressing an SOS button.
The alarm message may contain information on the position of the lone worker (outdoor GPS position or indoor Bluetooth location) to facilitate emergency response.
The use of an alarm device is of course done in a strict framework by following a complete procedure of emergency organization that is specific to each company, tested and validated.
